AB thumbnail
AB Beautifully mastered archival finds from coastal North East Yorkshire and the ever wonderful The Hydrogen Trees. Like leafing through an old sonic photo album. Some of the pictures have fell out and some are stuck together but you know.... Just sit yerself down in the sun and have a listen. Time travel via 4 track, shimmery with "wonder and what's next" thoughts.

about

Broken ornaments, orphans, discarded bingo cards, off-cuts, remnants, experiments, tethered memories, forgotten gems, attic dwellers or as the great Tom Waits would more than likely observe, 'Brawlers, Bawlers & Bastards.'

Fairground Archives Vol. 1 is a collection of 8 abandoned strays scratching to escape the rusty Hydrogen Tree vault. Recorded on vintage tape decks at the point of collapse. Each track is built on fragments welded together to create a disjointed collage of songs from the underbelly of British seaside fatigue. Lovingly remastered by Simon Willey.

This is a Bandcamp only release and comes in a mega limited home made CD release of 5 copies.

about

The Hydrogen Trees Scarborough, UK

In the back bedroom of a Scarborough terraced house strange little songs are grown on old cassette tapes; the misshapen fruit of the hydrogen trees.
